With every van that goes through the Rockin Vans workshop, the team aim to improve their skills and fine tune the design. This 4×4 camper was no exception. It really got the juices flowing and gave the team a chance to flex their camper muscles.
Raymond needed a campervan that could manage to tow his awesome Nautique speed boats and reverse the boats into the water. The Conversions team came up with this design which ticked all the boxes.
Firstly, the van itself is a Volkswagen T6 4 Motion. It has every extra on it, from Satnav to heated seats. Inside the camper itself we fitted the first floor of its kind. Usually found on boats, this foam SeaDeck flooring really adds a nautical feel to the camper. A RIB bed on rails can move forwards and backwards in this long wheel base conversion.
The main difference to our normal layout is the bulkhead fitted just behind the RIB bed. When opening the tailgate, you see a selection of hanging and storage space, perfect for wetsuits and Stand Up Paddle Boards, which can be stored in a long storage area which runs right under the RIB bed.
The roof is an SCA which adds height to the conversion and an extra double bed. There are pros and cons to an SCA roof, but one of the biggest pros is the roof bed, which is definitely the comfiest on the market.
The added external extras of the snorkel, xx inch alloy wheels and a matt black bike rack make this once very cool campervan.
